We are delighted to have the International Centre for Sport Security as our partner on this project. We are also determined to create a family-friendly environment for every fan who visits the stadium and that means that security is at the forefront of everything we are doing. Our whole project team is working closely with the ICSS surrounding the design, implementation and management of the highest-level security objectives including security risk assessment and security strategy development for both on-site infrastructure and cyber security.
Sport is not just physical activity; sport is culture and opportunity for human development. Alongside the Silk Road Alliance, we are keen to strengthen ties with the ICSS to promote development through sport. Let me praise the efforts of the ICSS in this field such as its Save the Dream initiative, which works today on the front line to promote inter-cultural dialogue through sport and the development of more fair societies.
I am delighted to invite the International Centre for Sport Security to participate and contribute to the European Week of Sport in 2015. This cooperation should lead toward closer promotion of the social role of sport and should help enhance participation in sport and physical activity. Let us join efforts to encourage EU citizens to be more active, more engage, and more alert to their health and well-being. Over the past years, the ICSS has made a valuable contribution to developing the European dimension in sport and I would be pleased to see us working closely together to make the 2015 European Week of Sport a success.
We are very impressed with the work the ICSS is doing in the field of sport.
European Lotteries is the only association of betting operators to argue that match-fixing is probably the greatest threat to the integrity of sport. Together with the ICSS we are setting concrete actions and commitments to fight match-fixing and fraud. With this collaboration we want to strengthen each others responses and initiatives. As the historic partner of sport in the EU Member States, we are actually the strongest defenders of the integrity of sport and daily contribute to important initiatives like the one from ICSS
