The ICSS commissions and conducts up-to-date research on all aspects of sport security, safety and integrity. We collaborate with a network of sport federations, police forces, security experts, academic and research organisations, and governments to develop thought leadership. We exercise this by carrying out the following key activities:

• Knowledge Sharing
Through the ICSS Knowledge Portal and our internal Knowledge Management System, we document and share best practices and knowledge with our network members to sustain learning across key operational areas and to better enable them to deliver high-quality and cutting edge interventions.

• Research Projects
The ICSS commissions and conducts in-depth research projects, and publishes reports on key issues, trends and aspects relating to security, safety and sport integrity as well as social, economic and political legacy implications of public and private sectors’ investment in sport security.

• Scenario Planning – ICSS Sprint
Through the application of scenario planning methodology, we explore key uncertainties which could shape the domain of sport and model how these drivers of change will necessitate future approaches.

• Articles
The ICSS commissions topical and thought provoking articles with the active engagement of our global network of subject matter experts and makes these articles available through the ICSS communication platforms.

• ICSS Journal
We publish on a quarterly basis a bespoke, unique and insightful journal with thought leading content, based on our research and quality contributions by our experts.

• Industry Structure Review
The ICSS conducts an annual sport security industry analysis to better understand and anticipate evolving industry dynamics and to ensure that we remain at the forefront of our competitive edge.
